A little bit about me . . .

A little bit about me

I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t interested in helping people live more fulfilling lives. I’ve been a volunteer counselor for over 30 years. I’ve worked with victims of domestic violence, assault victims, shut-ins and counseled women and teenagers with a crisis pregnancy center. This work has always been rewarding to me. When I discovered the field of coaching it was a natural fit.

Through coaching I have the privilege of working with smart motivated people who just happen to be feeling stuck with where they are in their lives or with a particular aspect of their lives. I’ve coached women and men around relationship issues, weight loss and fitness, parenting and family matters, self-esteem, communication, spirituality, life transitions, career goals and personal life goals.

 My work with parents:

As a childcare provider and a life coach I found myself in the position of talking with parents often. I heard a lot of the same struggles and difficulties. I feel honored that I’ve been able to help parents reduce stress and parent more effectively as well as develop even stronger relationships with their kids. Now that I’ve retired from childcare I’m dedicated to coaching parents around self-care and identifying and solving problems with their children. I love helping families live happier and more peacefully.

Self-Care:

Both professionally and personally, I have found that self-care is key to success in all areas of our lives. Self-Care sounds so simple but it’s actually multi-faceted and layered. It is holistic in nature and involves our physical, mental, emotional  and even spiritual health. I help my clients discover how to clarify and obtain their truest desires for themselves with a heart centered approach to living.

Me on paper:

I believe that education is key to being the best coach I can be which is super important to me. So, I’ve worked really hard at doing just that. I did a lot of research on coach training and chose one of the best schools accredited by the ICF which is THE governing body of the coaching profession. I received my life coach certification from MentorCoach, LLC (CMC designation) and from the International Coach Federation (PCC designation). I also have a bachelors degree in Psychology and an associates in Business Management.

Not for nothing but I’m also a licensed Heart Centered leader. (link below)
